Nemco Food Equipment broke ground on a 40,000-square-foot expansion to its manufacturing facility in Hicksville, Ohio, on Tuesday, April 16.

The project is expected to enhance the FEDA manufacturer member’s manufacturing capabilities, increase production efficiency and incorporate new technologies into its processes. “Today marks a milestone in the history of Nemco Food Equipment,” Nemco President Luke Moffatt said in a statement announcing the project. “This expansion is not just about growing our physical space; it’s about reaffirming our commitment to quality, innovation, our employees and our customers. By increasing our manufacturing capabilities, we are ensuring that we can meet customer demands with the same high standards we've upheld for years. This expansion will help fuel our long-term growth goals over the next 10-plus years.”

The anticipated move-in date for the expansion is Sept. 30, 2024. Once completed, the facility will feature state-of-the-art manufacturing and warehouse equipment and environmentally friendly practices that align with Nemco’s commitment to sustainability.
