FEDA Education Foundation Co-Sponsored University of Industrial Distribution (UID)is a Premier Training Resource for Dealer Middle Management

The FEDA Education Foundation co-sponsored University of Industrial Distribution (UID) program celebrated its 15th year in 2009. The four-day program is hailed as a cost-effective and productive training ground for dealer/distribution middle management serious about advancing their careers. Participants have the opportunity to create their own curriculum and earn Continuing Education Units (CEU's) that can be applied toward earning a Professional Certificate in Industrial Distribution by the University of Alabama at Birmingham. FEDA Members who have participated in the program rave about their learning experiences, particularly networking with other distribution professionals outside the foodservice industry. Janice Koch, general manager with Best Restaurant Equipment & Design, Inc., Columbus, Ohio, was a participant in the 2004 program and found it to be one of the most valuable education experiences of her career: "UID was four days well worth the time and expense. As general manager for Best Restaurant Equipment & Design, Inc. I feel like I am better informed and hope to convey what I learned to our staff.
