Norm Buggele to Lead CV-Tek and RapidPak while George Reed Takes Over at F.R. Drake

Foodservice equipment manufacturer Middleby announced promotions at its CV-Tek, RapidPak and F.R. Drake Company brands.

Norm Buggele, executive vice president and COO of CV-Tek and RapidPak was promoted to the position of president for both brands. “As Middleby continues to expand its packaging capabilities, I am excited to follow the great leaders that came before me,” Buggele said. “The future is limitless in our new state of the art CV-Tek and RapidPak manufacturing facility along with the talents of our growing workforce to bring new equipment to market for high-speed MAP packaging.”

Mark Salman, president Middleby Food Processing added, “Norm has years of industrial expertise and is a proven leader in manufacturing operations. His knowledge of primary and secondary packaging helps customers achieve both short and long-term goals, as well as integrate into our complete processing lines.”

At. F.R. Drake, George Reed was named the industrial food loading equipment brand’s next president. He previously served as executive vice president and COO. Reed will be responsible for strategy, product development, sales, and day-to-day operations, as well as overseeing the continuing expansion and integration of Drake equipment into Middleby’s comprehensive food production lines.

“I’m looking forward to leading Drake through this exciting period,” Reed said. “We will continue to enhance our traditional line of sausage loading equipment and will also be introducing new robotic loading technologies in other areas of Middleby whole line solutions. We will be working closely with the other Middleby slicing and loading brands and have an even greater focus on R&D than Drake has had in the past.”
