Richard Alan Hawk, 69, passed away on Monday, Sept. 4 after succumbing to cancer.
Hawk was born in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1954. After graduating from Sidney Lanier High School, he served in the Marine Corps. When he returned to Montgomery, he and his brother, Dan, established Hawk, Inc., a FEDA dealer member now in its 45th year of business.
Hawk was known by all for his sense of humor and gift for uplifting others through laughter. He enjoyed yard work, boating, relaxing at the beach and lake, music, playing with his 13 grandchildren in his pool, and simply spending time with his family. An active member of civic and business organizations throughout his adulthood, Hawk served on the board of Montgomery's Trenholm Culinary School, was an active member of a national buying group and was past president of his homeowners association.
