The Commercial Food Equipment Service Association will hold two training courses in March aimed at people new to the industry and those taking the next steps in their career.
New Technician Training will be held March 23-27 and is aimed at those looking to entire or recently hired into the foodservice equipment repair industry. Candidates for the course will have little to no knowledge or skills related to the industry. Training will cover company expectations, customer service, kitchen equipment operation, basic principles of electric, gas, and steam, and hands-on equipment training. The cost is $1,000 for CFESA members and $2,000 for non-members.
The second course, Middle Management, is aimed at those with more experience in the industry. The three-day course, which will be held March 31-April 2, is designed to assist managers in their daily activities, from planning to completion, and is available to any type of manager within the foodservice repair industry. Participants will learn about the daily operations of commercial kitchen repair as well as the customer service and problem-solving aspects of management roles. The cost is $750 for CFESA members and $1,500 for non-members.
Both courses will be held at CFESA headquarters, 3605 Centre Cir., Fort Mill, S.C.
