ITW, Welbilt, Hoshizaki, and Beverage-Air Recognized for Clean Energy Contributions

Four FEDA manufacturer members were among the 210 organizations to earn ENERGY STAR awards in 2022.

ITW Food Equipment Group, Welbilt and Hoshizaki America were honored with the Partner of the Year: Sustained Excellence award. Beverage-Air, an Ali Group company, earned an Excellence award. The awards program is through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy and it honors organizations that are making important contributions in support of the United States’ transition to clean energy.

“We know it’s going to take all of us working together to tackle the climate crisis, and the 2022 ENERGY STAR award-winning partners are demonstrating what it takes to build a more sustainable future,” EPA Administrator Michael Regan said. “These companies are showing once again that taking action in support of a clean energy economy can be good not only for the environment but also for business and customers.”

All four FEDA members to receive awards in 2022 have made efforts to meet ENERGY Star for several years. “Hoshizaki America is honored to have earned ENERGY STAR recognition for over a decade,” states Allan Dziwoki, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Hoshizaki America. “We are committed to delivering the benefits of energy efficiency to our customers while continually investing towards a long-term clean energy future.”

“At Welbilt, we are passionate about playing our part in the journey towards clean energy and a greener future,” said Maribeth Kelly, marketing communication and services manager for Welbilt. “Our partnership with ENERGY STAR represents our approach to sustainability; by harnessing innovation we deliver energy-efficient foodservice and beverage solutions which reduce energy consumption and costs. This award illustrates how collective action across our industry has a huge impact, and benefits operators and their customers as well as our planet.”
