Ron Bowerman, a longtime professional in the foodservice equipment industry, passed away on Aug. 21 at the age of 71. He was president and founder of the Bowerman Management Group, a manufacturers’ representative company based in Liverpool, New York.
Bowerman began his career in the foodservice and restaurant management field, working in both fast food and fine dining. He entered the sales and service field in 1975 and five years later he started his namesake company. Bowerman was known as an impassioned businessman and he spent 42 years as a commercial restaurant equipment manufacturers’ rep in Upstate New York.
An avid reader and Wall Street hawk, Bowerman was especially known for staying up to date on Apple. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a trusted colleague, mentor and loyal friend to the foodservice industry. Bowerman was active in the Manufacturers’ Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry, having served as both a national board member and an active local member.
