Six Awards Will Recognize Achievements of FEDA Members and Partners, Kicking Off the 2020 Annual Conference

For the first time, FEDA will present an opening night Gold Awards Dinner to kick off its 2020 Annual Conference, elevating the event from previous years’ opening-night parties. The dinner will recognize FEDA members, including manufacturers and other industry partners, for unique achievements. The dinner will also highlight FEDA’s new board of directors, committees, new partnerships, contributors, and key accomplishments. The goal of the dinner is to bring conference attendees together to honor and enjoy innovation and success in our industry.

The dinner will be co-presented with Media Sponsor Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine, with FES Publisher Maureen Slocum emceeing the event. The awards to be presented include:

Extraordinary Service Awards
One award to be presented to a distributor or dealer member and one award to a manufacturer member whose customer-service program provides an exceptional experience for operators, suppliers or dealers, and service reps and has contributed to the company’s success.

Model Workplace Awards
One award to be presented to a distributor or dealer member and one award to a manufacturer member that has created a dynamic and unique workplace culture which attracts and retains talent and develops future industry leaders.

Champion for Young Leaders Awards
One award to be presented to a distributor or dealer member and one award to a manufacturer member whose model leadership and achievements have promoted the attraction and retention of talented young professionals.

Volunteer Leader of the Year Award
Presented to one individual from a member distribution or manufacturing company who has made exceptional contributions to advancing FEDA’s strategic goals, through committee or project leadership.

Ascending Young Industry Leaders Awards
Presented to two young distribution professionals, age 21-33, who have demonstrated growth in leadership ability in: innovation; project management; professional or employee development; or community impact.

Accomplished Young Industry Leaders Awards
Presented to two young distribution professionals, age 34-46, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and accomplishments in: innovative company initiatives; research; product, services or systems development; employee development; or other unique accomplishments that have contributed to the company’s success.

Award criteria and weighting are determined by committees comprising the members of FEDA’s Education Committee and Young Industry Leaders group. Award applications will be distributed to FEDA distributor and manufacturer members by Jan. 15, 2020. The final deadline for applications is Feb. 24, 2020.
