Whether you are participating in FEDA’s annual conference in person in Nashville or via the virtual platform, we hope this event helps you reconnect to the industry. After a long and arduous hiatus, this year’s “hybrid” conference offers multiple ways for foodservice operators, supply chain partners and business services vendors to share experiences and renew those relationships everyone in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry is so dependent on to find success.
The conference kicks off with the FEDA Gold Awards Dinner, an exceptional event that recognizes FEDA dealer and manufacturer members for outstanding achievements in building strong customer experience and model workplaces and creating meaningful growth opportunities for our industry’s young professionals. The awards also identify individual young leaders in distribution and manufacturing and honor FEDA’s board leaders and long-time members.
In addition, the conference spotlights operators, including food chain owners, independent restaurateurs and emerging foodservice model leaders who will discuss the labor and supply chain challenges ahead and how much they value and need the dealer community’s help moving forward. We’ll hear from a range of dealers and manufacturers about their concerns and ideas for improving supply chain efficiency during shortages, such as mitigating chokepoints, revising inventory strategies, identifying alternative products and working with general contractors to adjust project management schedules. On Wednesday, Sept. 22, dealers and manufacturers will participate in partner exchange roundtables through which facilitators will gather input to help prepare the Thursday, Sept. 23 general session panel for a larger discussion with the audience on these and many other pressing supply chain topics and potential solutions.
There will also be an essential session for dealers and manufacturers on FEDA’s new data repository. Led by FEDA’s data governance partners and lead volunteers, this session will cover the project’s goals to address dealer and manufacturer product data needs and the 2021 timeline for setup and participation.
Those attending in person are encouraged to visit the conference exhibit booths to talk with FEDA supporters and business vendors to learn more about their products and services. Don’t forget to attend Wednesday’s poolside barbecue for an incredible lunch and Friday’s closing dinner and party, which will include a southern feast and plenty of dancing. Both will offer even more chances to make lasting connections.
Whether we see you in person or virtually, we are excited to reconnect with you and appreciate your support for this event!
