Service Provider Expands Southeast Presence With Purchase of REMCO

Smart Care Equipment Solutions last week announced the acquisition of REMCO, an Alabama-based provider of commercial kitchen repair, maintenance services, and parts.

“REMCO has become the stand-out leader in commercial kitchen equipment service in the Southeast thanks to the leadership of owners Tom, Rich, Bruce and Keith Gory,” Smart Care CEO Bill Emory said. “As we got to know their team, it became clear we share the same vision, values and commitment to both employees and customers.”

Acquiring REMCO will strengthen Smart Care’s presences in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida. “We are aligned on our ambition to build the premiere kitchen equipment care company in the country,” Emory continued.

The purchase is the first of several Smart Care intends to complete in the coming years. By adding REMCO and its 60 employees, Smart Care’s total number of technicians now numbers more than 550 nationwide.

Rich and Bruce Gory will continue to lead REMCO. “We are excited to join the Smart Care team and be part of their continued growth,” said Rich Gory, REMCO’s president. “We believe, with the help of our outstanding employees and coupled with the additional resources of Smart Care, we will further strengthen our position in the region.”
