General Parts Group President Retiring
Bruce Hodge, president of Minnesota-based General Parts Group, a provider of commercial kitchen equipment repair services, announced last week that he will retire Sept. 30. Hodge has worked in the foodservice industry for more than 50 years, including serving as General Parts Group’s president since 1998.
During his time leading the company, Hodge oversaw the development of General Parts Group’s whole kitchen service offering through the addition of HVAC equipment, the company’s expansion to 29 locations serving 26 states, and the opening of its OEM parts distribution division.
As part of the company’s succession plan, current Vice President of Operations Gary Schermann will take over as president once Hodge retires. Schermann has been with General Parts Group for 21 years and is expected to continue the expansion of the business in conjunction with the company’s goal to become a national service provider.
