Longtime Wasserstrom executive Ursula Vermillion has announced she will retire June 28.
Vermillion, executive vice president of national smallwares, spent 38 years at Wasserstrom and in the foodservice community. In addition to being a former FEDA board member, her accomplishments included shaping the way distributors service national chain accounts as well as mentoring many colleagues. “Customers and vendors want to work with her; fellow associates want to work for her,” the company said.
Replacing Vermillion will be Cathy King, who previously worked for Cardinal Health in Columbus, Ohio, for 24 years. She will spend the next several weeks working closely with Vermillion and Wasserstrom’s leadership team to gain knowledge about the industry, company, customers, supplier and vendor partners and to ensure a smooth transition.
