Parts Town, an Illinois-based provider of foodservice parts distribution, has acquired 3Plenish, an app that enables efficient management of parts inventory and replenishment for trucks. The app is used primarily by field service-focused companies and other organizations that manage service technicians and parts stockrooms.
3Plenish was previously a division of 3Wire, making it the second division Parts Town has acquired from 3Wire in the past year following the purchase 3Wire Foodservice in May 2018. The app will be rebranded and enhanced under Parts Town, but the existing version will remain available to customers who need a solution quickly.
“We are very excited to own this unique technology and look forward to rebranding and building on the existing capabilities,” said Mike O’Shea, senior vice president of IT and e-commerce. “Many of our partners continue to seek simple inventory management and replenishment solutions, and the 3Plenish technology is currently the best out there. We plan to take it to a whole new level.”
Emanuela Delgado, vice president of growth and innovation, explained that 3Plenish fit neatly into Parts Town’s overall technology roadmap. “We have been setting the stage for a set of breakthrough innovations that are currently in development, and ownership of 3Plenish will help us to further expand our technology differentiation,” she said.
The acquisition was announced last week, although the deal closed in early April.
