The Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) will hold ice machine repair training from Jan. 27-31, 2020.
The five-day course will feature machines from Hoshizaki, Ice-O-Matic, Scotsman, Follett, and ITV. Each day will focus on equipment from one of the manufacturers and will allow technicians to learn directly from factory trainers. Participants will learn the fundaments of how ice machines work and specific troubleshooting solutions. Lessons will cover the installation and set-up, proper operation and programming, service troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Those wishing to attend the course should be mid-level to seasoned technicians. Technicians must be familiar with electric, has, and steam theory, and have a working knowledge of foodservice equipment. Entry-level technicians are not expected to have the skill set needed to complete the course.
The program will be held at CFESA headquarters in Fort Mill, S.C.
