Owners See Economy as Healthy, Reach New Highs in Staff Size

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and MetLife recently released the Small Business Index for Q4.

The index surveys small business owners across the country on a quarterly basis to construct national, regional, employee size, and broad industry group level estimates of the health of small businesses across the country.

The Q4 index findings report that small business owners:

  • See a very healthy local and national economy.
  • Feel comfortable with their current cash flow.
  • Have reached a new high for increasing staff size.
