Alto-Shaam has welcomed Ben Leingang as a corporate executive chef at its headquarters in Menomonee Falls, Wis. He brings almost 30 years of experience which includes various food service management roles for both the business and industry segment.
Previously, Leingang worked as a corporate executive chef for Henny Penny where he developed training resources, supported new product development, and generated content for product demonstrations and marketing outreach. In his new role, Leingang will serve as an application specialist for culinary equipment made and sold by the company and will be responsible for maintaining customer experience through customer initiatives, product development, consultations, and culinary demonstrations.
Carpigiani North America
Carpigiani North America, an Ali Group Company and manufacturer of frozen dessert equipment, announced the appointment of Kami Poppen as vice president of sales and marketing. Poppen will manage the distributor network, key accounts, and educational programs while overseeing the sales and marketing efforts for the North American region.
“I look forward to help driving Carpigiani’s growth in the market and ensure continuous and optimal client support, and also working more extensively with our education programs,” said Poppen. She brings with her more than 23 years of experience in the commercial food industry.
ITW Food Equipment Group
ITW Food Equipment Group, an industry leader in commercial food equipment brands, has appointed Axel Beck as executive vice president. Beck will oversee global management of the premier family of brands including Vulcan, Baxter, and Hobart among many others. ITW’s brands support the needs of foodservice and food retail operations from food preparation, refrigeration, and cooking to ventilation, weighing, wrapping, dishwashing, and waste disposal.
Beck previously served as group president of ITW’s warewash business where ITW’s Hobart brand developed efficient and technologically advanced commercial dishwashing equipment. He began his career with ITW in Germany in 1989 as an industrial engineer.
Erica Havers has been promoted to president of Blodgett Oven Group and will direct and oversee the Middleby brands Blodgett, Perfect Fry, Marsal, and BKI, all of which are manufactured in Essex, Vt. Middleby develops, manufacturers, markets, and services a broad line of equipment used in the commercial foodservice, food processing, and residential kitchen equipment industries.
“Erica has proven herself to be a very effective and highly-respected leader,” Middleby Group President Steve Spittle said. “She brings a track record of success in many business areas and an impressive, accomplished tenure with Blodgett which will serve her will in her new role.” Havers has been a part of the Middleby Corp. for 27 years where she had previously held positions as a general manager, senior accountant, and most recently, controller.
Evo, Inc. announced the promotion of Dennis Francis to vice president sales and Middleby ventless solutions- foodservice accounts. Francis will be responsible for enhancing the market growth of the Evo brand ventless griddles and display cooking equipment. He most recently held the title as the director of sales at Evo, Inc., which was acquired by the Middleby Corp. in 2018.
