With the help of 144 golfers, Commercial Kitchen Stop (CKS), a FEDA distributor member, raised more than $10,000 for a local organization at its fourth annual charity golf outing.

The invitational event was held June 16, at Palm Beach National Golf Club in Lake Worth, Florida. Participants included manufacturer executives, manufacturers’ rep groups, restaurant owners, chefs, donors, and other supporters. While the field of competitors was filled at 144 golfers, Chris Russo, director of sales and marketing at CKS, said about 200 total people came out for the event, which was themed “Fire on the Fairway.”

The fundraiser benefited HomeSafe of Florida, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting victims of child abuse and domestic violence in Palm Beach County and the surrounding South Florida region. Russo said the dealer has chosen to support HomeSafe each of the past three years because of the organization’s success in helping children get out of abusive homes so they can maximize their potential.
